Cannabis, THC and CBD

What do these names actually refer to?

Cannabis names the plant. Cannabinoids are a group of substances found in it. THC and CBD are two cannabinoids, rather than two names for the whole plant.

THC can produce intoxication. CBD does not produce the same high, but that does not make every CBD product harmless or an approved treatment. Product contents and health claims need their own evidence.
